Staying safe on late-night journeys

4 min read

Most journeys end without a story. A little planning keeps it that way, and keeps the people who love you with you until you are home.

Check the area before you leave

Open the map and look at the safety concerns reported along your route, and the Risk Score for where you are heading. If something looks off, a different road or a different time is an easy change to make before you set out.

Share the trip

Tell FlagRisk where you are going and who is watching. It checks you in along the way on its own, while you carry your phone as normal.

Let it watch so you do not have to

If you arrive, the watch closes quietly. If you go silent or do not get there in time, your circle is told where you were last seen, without you lifting a finger.

Keep the simple things covered

Charge your phone before you leave, keep it reachable, and make sure at least one person in your circle knows the plan.
